An idea between two best friends that started all the way back in 2014, our little blog has been the perfect platform to share our thoughts with the world and other avid readers. Since then we continue to grow in followers and friends as well as developing our ability to produce coherent and entertaining reviews and features. We still maintain our original focus of creating enjoyable reviews about some of our favourite Young Adult fiction and have also expanded our content in conjunction with our ever-changing lives and experiences.

This blog has seen us through the trials and tribulations of high school, university and continues to play its part as we take our next steps into adult life.

For Amy, the dream is still to one day work in publishing and until then she plans to channel her undying love for books through engaging posts and reviews!

As for Eleanor, she is working hard as a midwife and although she now longer posts, she still enjoys curling up with a book and a good old cup tea. Our friendship, like our love for books, is still strong and is a friendship that will never falter or fade, we’ll be best friends for life.

Blog Mission Statement

This blog is for those who love to read and share the same love for books as we do. Our purpose here is to critically review books with the aim of providing fair and balanced review. I hope that the reviews here will help to steer those of you who are looking to find that ‘perfect’ read! We blog for fun and this blog will always be a personal place for us to share our love for books as well as interacting with other bloggers and readers in this community! Each week we hope to post a new review, rating each book out of five stars. Readers are welcome to leave comments of their own in response to these reviews.

Linda Baron-Katz – Surviving Mental Illness: My Story. From the author of the children’s book Peter and Lisa. The memoir of the author’s experience as an Orthodox Jew in Manhattan, struggling through school, dating relationships, work and family life and then finally getting diagnosed with bipolar syndrome. A literary piece about being the ‘other’ on at least two levels in American society. The author is a good speaker and can discuss the power of literature and communication to encourage empathy and bridge social divides.
