Who’s excited for Christmas? I know I am, and now it’s time to find out whether I’m on the bookish naughty or nice list. If you’ve completed this tag then please leave a link in the comments as I love reading other peoples answers!
Received an ARC and not reviewed it
I am definitely guilty of this! I get all excited when I see books on NetGalley, I then request, download them and forget! Earlier this year I did manage to clear out my ARC TBR but these bad habits are hard to squash and I’m back to square one.
Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley
If you’d asked me this a couple of month ago I would have said no, but now I’m afraid its a yes!
Rated a book on goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)
I recently cleared out my Goodreads and started over again so I’ve been trying to maintain it by posting reviews as soon as I finish a book. But I haven’t promised a full review on my blog, yet! I would love it if you could leave your Goodread’s account in the comments below so I finally start playing a more active role in the bookish community!
My Goodreads – Amy Whittaker (A Fangirls Opinion)
Folded down the page of a book
Never! Instead I use bookmarks or any bit of paper that I can find, train tickets, receipts, anything!
Accidentally spilled something on a book
Never! I protect my books with my life!
DNF a book this year
I feel terrible if I don’t finish a book, I’m worried that I’ve missed something and that if I keep reading then things will get better however this isn’t usually the case.
Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it
I’m doing well so far as I haven’t done this either! However that doesn’t mean that I don’t happily walk around Waterstones gazing at all the beautiful covers.
Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework)
ALL THE TIME! I fall into the trap of saying ‘one more chapter and then I’ll do it’ and then I never do!
Skim read a book
I did this recently with Muse of Nightmares by Laine Taylor and instantly regretted it, because I’d missed so much and had to go back and re-read bits.
Completely missed your Goodreads goal
I’m 1 book away from my Goodreads goal! I only set it at 26 this year (which worked out to be one book every two weeks) because I didn’t want to include the books I had to read for university in my list and only really started reading for fun in June.
Borrowed a book and not returned it
I haven’t borrowed a book in a long time, so I can easily say that I’m not guilty of this.
Broke a book buying ban
I’m quite good when it comes to buying books, I won’t buy any books for ages but the I’ll spend a fortune on a huge haul!
Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about
I feel like I’ve been exposed…I’m currently in the process of writing a review for The Cruel Prince by Holly Black but I’ve totally forgotten what happened!
Wrote in a book you were reading
I hated writing in my university books but I knew it was something I had to do otherwise I was going to be left with pages and pages of notes.
Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads
I haven’t included all of the books I read for university on my Goodreads, so I guess I’m guilty of this!
