Spring might just have to be my favourite and most anticipated season for book releases as there are so many exciting sequels and books being released by some of my favourite authors of 2017! Hopefully, after my exams, I’ll have more time so I will finally be able to get back into reading and I think having these releases will certainly encourage this. Let me know in the comments what spring releases you’re looking
A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas – Sarah J Maas is the queen of fantasy and if you haven’t read her Court of Thorns and Roses series then you seriously need to stop what you’re doing and read it because it is just perfection and pure brilliance. I need this series to never end and for Sarah to just keep writing more about Feyre and her friend’s adventures!
Legendary by Stephanie Garber – One of my favourite books of last year was Caraval, the first book in this series, and I totally forgot there was a sequel so now I’m even more excited. I’m a little worried though because I loved the first one and I’ve got high expectations, nevertheless, I’m sure the second book will have all the magic, adventure and romance that the first one had.
Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody – I loved Amanda’s first book, Daughter of the Burning City and from the looks of the synopsis for her new series I’m going to love this one too as I’m a sucker for a good old mystery and a bit of danger. Enne Salta was raised as a proper young lady, and no lady would willingly visit New Reynes, the so-called City of Sin. But when her mother goes missing, Enne must leave her finishing school—and her reputation—behind to follow her mother’s trail to the city where no one survives uncorrupted.
The Smoke Thieves by Sally Green – I’ve never read a Sally Green novel, however, the synopsis for this book sounds so good and reminds me of Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo which I absolutely loved Five disparate characters—a princess, a soldier, a hunter, a servant, a thief—come together in a new series starter, set in an epic fantasy world marked by the presence and underground trading of an illegal supernatural substance. I love it when completely different characters are forced to work together as I love seeing new relationships form and just the range of characters.
Furyborn by Claire Legrand – What I’m looking forward to the most about this book is the fact that it follows two fiercely independent young women and I’m all about those badass female characters! I’ve only heard good things about this book and I love the idea that it follows two stories that although are centuries apart, intertwine and connect with each other!
